Well blow me down and thrown me into a rusty sander! I never did update Boomer Zone on this website.
Aren't I a lazy slug? YES I AM!
Anyway, I have, however, finished Chapter 11 and it'll be appearing on the site and forums in a couple of weeks time.
In the meantime, I can get on with giving you some Mobian news!
#76 is in progress and will be finished by the end of the night. I've managed to have some time to think and I've now
got a plot to take us close to the #100 spectacular? Can anyone hear 'Katek'? Comics will go back to 18-panellers too, I can't
deal with the pressure. :P
The 3rd Spriter's Choice Awards were presented a few nights ago and The Mobian (and myself) swooped the Comic catergories
with 5 awards! Thanks guys, it's good to see that The Mobian's still pulling in readers after a year of graft. Personal congratulations
to Retro, Aeliran and Heavy for their acheivements.
So. Upcoming updates? More Mobians, new mini-series, longer chapters of Boomer Zone and there'll be some reviews and
previews of the new Sonic games. Sonic Gems Collection is getting mixed reviews and I'll be getting my hands on a copy to
put forward my view.
Anyway, it's been a long news report from me. Adios!

Experimental issue #74 and the epicly-large #75 have been updated to the site! #74 had been completed a week after the
'amazing' #73, but I didn't feel it was up to scratch. To hell with that, it's up now.
The 3rd Spriter's Choice Awards occured this month and the final votes were released on STCOSSCACC last night. It was
the best haul The Mobian Sprite Comic's ever got so I thank all that voted for it, especially for those that voted for Best
Comic and Best Ongoing Storyline (for the Shadow arc). Well done to the others that grabbed awards too. :)
The chapters upto C.10 of Boomer Zone will be added to the site tonight. They've all been done, I'm on a school computer
which bans everything! >_<
Another update tonight!
17/9/05
My goodness! Over a month since my last update? Well it wasn't, but I just didn't update the news.
I've only managed to get #72 and #73 up for you online, and if you hark from STCOSSCACC, you'll have already read em.
However, readers from Breath of Speed may be new to the whole franchise, so you may be pleased to know I'm remaking the first
few issues, cos they look crap. :)
I've got loads I've got to update that I've finished. More Revelations and Not-So Daily Mobians, Fanart from Darkshine
and Lakit, 3 more chapters of Boomer Zone in the Fanfiction section and much more. Not to mention the HUGE cast list that's
staring at me, waiting to be made. *sigh*
And on the days that the Revolution Controller was released...so much for me having too many remote controls in the house...
12/8/05
Hello there. Again, no rant, but I bring you #71 of The Mobian and a COMPLETELY fixed 2005 Archive! Now you don't have
to keep switching locations when you want to read them all!
I've also updated Revelations (#5 currently available on STCOSSCACC) and a small STC-M teaser is also viewable on the
forum.
I hope the temperature converter has been keeping everyone happy with its many uses. :) I know Retro was amazed when
he saw it:
"A temperature converter? Man, you must have been bored!"
Penultimately, I've signed up for the Webcomic List (as you may see above the latest comic). Unfortunately, I'm having
problems with not being able to be voted for, so there's not much point voting yet (if you would at all).
Finally, The Mobian is nearly a year old. :) Celebrations abound when the time comes.

The Archives have been updated with a Guest Comic by Retro (the first of its kind) and #70, the follow-up, by myself.
Posts for guest issues are greatly welcomed, while I'd love it if people that have slightly suggested doing one beforehand
follow it up. I love reading them!
03/08/05
You've all been treated to a Celsius-to-Fahrenheit temperature converter! Check the bottom of the homepage to use it!
:)

Quick update:
- Archives of #66 and #67 fixed
- #68 now available
- DSC provides us with an interview
- More sprites in the Sprites section
- Cast, artwork and Boomer Zone still to come.
17/07/05
Not much to say this time around (because I'm meant to be doing coursework) other than there's 2 new issues up for you
rather than 1. Unless you've been reading at STCOSSCACC, #66 should be entirely new for you whilst #67 brings the return of
the complete story.
My mini-rant is to do with 'doctors' who are really just teachers with more letters before and after their name. They
may stay on at university after their degree to take a PhD so they become a doctor. In most cases, the extra experience and
tuition benefits them and they really excel at the career they choose.
Some are egocentric snobs who use their poisition and status to shit all over your hard work and change, twist and transform
it until it's no longer your's, just a piece of crap molded in their vision. I'm naming and shaming 'Dr' Changming Wu of Headlands
School, Bridlington and Hull College.
During the entirity of Year 12, I had a humble old psychology teacher who taught us well but unfortunately had diabetes
so had to go to hospital regularly. A witch-hunt persued and he had to resign before he was fired. They decided to draft in
two candidates for the new job and see which one we preferred.
- A young but experienced Psychology/Sociology with great qualifications and references, who drilled concepts into our
heads and spoke with a friendly tounge and in a non-patronizing way.
- An aging, experienced dictator who is used to getting Uni students through their final year, attempting to fit 8-week
long pieces of coursework into 4 weeks (not accounting for school trips and Uni open days, who can barely speak or understand
the English language and will blankly disregard any helpful comment you make until she realises it's true and passes it off
as her own.
I fucking hate her.
Now I have to put with her for the whole of Year 13 as I kinda need Psychology to be a psychologist. Fuck.
30/06/05
Mucho progress has been made on the Revelations project and I thank the 13 or so people that have submitted their teams
of characters to fight in the WORMS tournament. To celebrate, I've released #4 of Revelations. You may notice that the story's
jumped a tad..to find out what's happened since they accquired Arch, you'll need to visit The Mobian board of the STCOSSCACC
forum.
Sad news as we lose our first member of the spriting community. Spartan has left the STCOSSCACC for personal reasons
(at the time of a 'stealing' accusation) so I at The Mobian wishes him the best of luck and hope he continues to sprite and
write comics.
Finally, because I forgot to mention, we're up to #65 of The Mobian. I've been getting great feedback lately which I'm
very happy with, so I hope you're enjoying everything. Remember, if there's something you like about any of my 4 series of
comics, let me know via the
Guestbook, by
email or by commenting on the relevant board at the
STCOSSCACC.
20/06/05
No, the date isn't lying. It's been a long time since I properly updated this ol' place of mine. To compenate for that,
you've got at least 5 new issues to gawp at, plus a new archving system which makes it easier to find them.
However, you've still got to wait for the Remakes of the original 5 issues, #4 of Revelations, the cast list, 2 new pieces
of fan art and previews for Sonic Rush and the Sonic Gems Collection. Don't say I'm not good to you!
14/05/05
Again, no rant to speak of! Barely an update, either!
The new Fan Art section is now well and truly open with a contribution from
Ray. I hope to receive more at The Mobian too, as my respect for artwork exceeds all others.
Retro and Ray have been the 2nd and 3rd to be interviewed. I'm having troubles with one of them, but the other one should
hopefully be on the
RPI page by the end of the day.
You may or may not know (I can't be bothered to check past updates) that I was planning to host Nightcrawler's sprite
comic, Nightshade. That was unsuccessful, but I've been re-hired to host HMS' (Hyper Metal Shadow's) sprite comic, Sonic Crash
which is considerably longer to date, so you may be treated with that by the end of the weekend too.
Concering my own projects, does anyone remember that I write fanfics too? No update on Boomer Zone, but the first chapter
of my old fanfic, Grey, should be uploaded tonight and a second chapter is already in progress.
Wow, it was more of an update than I thought. See you tonight, hopefully.

First of all, congratulations to the Labour Party (UK) for winning their third term in office as the Government of the
country. Had I been old enough to vote, I would have made sure they got my vote. Unfortunately, the Conservatives still have
a tight grip on my home constituency but fortunately, this isn't representitative of the whole country.
News on The Mobian is ever present. I'm currently writing #58 of the main strip (a long wait, I know) and it suddenly
deviates from the current story. Don't fear, for Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Blizzard will re-appear as soon as my Writer's
Block disappears.
The Sprites section is still there, I'll soon be working on 8-bit and Battle versions of the little guy, Arch, plus releasing
some new poses of the forthcoming star of Revelations, Utility-Bot! On the matter of that comic, I'm not writing Part 3 yet.
Just so you know.
I'm opening up the website to some fanart. Are there any moments in The Mobian that you feel could do with an artistic
touch and recreating in full colour? Or do you feel you'd like to recreate my interpretation of your fan character in
a poster? Maybe you'd just like some free advertising for your artwork. :P Any art, beautiful or terrible, will be posted,
because I envy all artists.
That's all for now. Not even a general rant. Just'd like to mention that the first of my Spriter Interviews are
up on the Reviews, Previews, Interviews! page, with Blue Rush being the first to be put under the spotlight.
Goodnight!
02/05/05
A new sprite section has been added to The Mobian's growing enterprise, detailing the appearances of Arch among the months.
Many thanks to Retro, X3, Turbotails, Kintobor and Oz for their contributions and hard work and cheers to everyone I
talk to over MSN who inspired me to often make new display pictures. It keeps me on my toes.
26/04/05
What the....an UPDATE? What's this in aid of? 2 months on and I've actually been quite busy, you know, with these things
they call AS level exams! Yeah, revision's tough but it's gotta be done, kids. Luckily, in ths hiatus, I've also managed to
conjure up a few treats.
The Mobian has been update with Issues 53-57 on the
Archives page.
The new STC Masterpiece revamp has begun and the COMPLETE Issue 1 of STCM, starring Sonic, Sin Scorpion and Team Dark,
is hosted here!
I've created 3 more Not-So Daily Mobians too, but instead of putting them up here, you can just as easily check them
out on the relevant thread at the
STCOSSCACC.
The Fanfiction zone's also been update with the current 7 chapters of my fanfic,
Boomer Zone. It's gone down extremely well at STC Online and if anyone else would like to star in it,
give me a bell.
The site's also getting another expansion soon, so keep a lookout for more reasons why The Mobian was voted 'Best Website'
2 years running in the Spriter's Choice. Farewell for now!
01/03/05
Congratulations! The turn of the month brings about 5 months of The Mobian Sprite Comic! Only 7 months till I can be
truly happy....
Issue #45 has been updated tonight and I'll probably update with #46....Thursday night. Also (while I 'revise'), I created
a new 'Daily Mobian' for you on the
Daily Mobian's page. It's been a while.
A couple of new sites to visit (mainly picking these two as they've converted from the godawful Freewebs to Tripod).
Retro's finally revealed what he's been stewing away at for weeks.
Please Don't Feed The Animals is a reworked, Photoshopped edition of the original Team Dark comic and presents us with a totally new format. Another place
of interest is Hyperdude's new home for the
Team Shadow sprite comic. He finally released a new edition of his comic and it's getting better and better!
Throughout the rest of STCOSSCACC, Hysteriabrat has added a voting feature to his
Hullabaloo sprite comic and Blizzard has made a wallpaper of his critically-acclaimed cutscene. Also, DSC's Triple R has almost left
the first round stages and Madhair has already created 20 issues of his simplistic, yet hilarious,
Sprites in Limbo.
Check it out if you can.
Aside from the 5 month mark for The Mobian, yesterday was a landmark for me in a different respect. Or more of a non-landmark.
I don't need to go into it, but something I had waited for, for a long time, seemed to go un-noticed. Never mind.
Enjoy the end of The Mobian's Season 3 and keep looking out for new and excellent comics. If you find one you feel I
should take a look at, or if someone needs free hosting to get their comic started up, point them at
archangelffx@hotmail.com. That's all for now.
22/02/05
The new ARCH Rating System has been introduced into each of The Mobian comics from Issue 44. The Ammended Rating for
Comedy and Humour (ARCH for short) will use a star system (1 being the lowest) to signify how funny a comic is intended to
be. For example, Issue 44 has 2 stars underneath the title, therefore it isn't intended to be on the funny side.
The competition's still open, folks.
A site I recommend you visit is
www.freewebs.com/fancharacteraid. Created by Retrogamer, it's a step-by-step site covering all the basics and advance techniques related to creating your
own fan character. You'll also see Arch in there among with other Mobian favourites, so check it out, especially if you're
a new spriter.
Speaking of Retro, the guy alerted me to an extremely funny flash animation at
www.cecimoz.co.uk/content/flash.htm entitled Ringtone Wa**er. Hilarious, particularly if you're fed up of the Crazy Frog ringtone as much as me.
17/02/05
Meh, sorry. Long time, no update.
The Mobian Forum's online at
http://themobian.proboards45.com. If you want to turn up and see my comics earlier than anyone else, just sign up and meet a new community that enjoys random
chat and arcade flash games! I also encourage people to post their own sprite comics and sprites (for ego purposes) so come
and have a look.
COMPETITION TIME!!
Yeah, you read it right! Retro's won 2 I think (Name Those Windows, Dead Man Spotting) while DSC won 1 (Quiz!).
This one doesn;t have a prize like the last ones, but it'll boost your ego and your place on the leader table:
"The Undertaker's changing but he'll never beat the Kane." --- a line taken from #43 of The Mobian. But which
song is it adapted from?
Hint1: I don't like the band :/
Hint2: Read The Mobian #43 to understand.
15/1/04
Season 2 is well and truly over. But with the success of The Mobian increasing (75 hits on the homepage in the last 3
days), I'm expanding the comics. On randomly selected days (i.e. when I feel like it) I'll be producing different comics.
Depending on what I feel like doing on the day, there'll be 1 of 6 comics to view:
--- The Mobian, the forefront comic on The Mobian website.
--- The Not-so Daily Mobian - Randomly inspired humour from the people at STC-O.
--- STC Masterpieces - The legendary UK comic, in sprite form!
--- Adamis and Kekun - The 2 jokers within The Mobian get their own series.
--- Advent Mobians - A parody on FFVII, this mini-series replaces conventional RPG characters with Sonic and the gang.
--- And another one! - Yet to be decided.
6 comics, but the same irregular updates. So while you may be losing out on issues of The Mobian, you could be getting
twice as much STC lovin'. It's all pot luck on The Mobian!

The first of many Spriter's Choice Awards went underway last week, showcasing the talents and fans of everyone at STCOSSCACC.
The rewards in full read out like this:
THE SPRITER'S CHOICE AWARDS
Best Fan Character3rd = Arch and Sin Scorpion
2nd
= Retro
1st = MINICLE! This guy has featured in The Twisted World of Minicle, Sonic Sprite Comic and Painkiller and
the Spritesheet itself is completely DIY! In SSC, you'll see him appearing from a washing machine and keeping his manners
while in Twisted World you'll see him ruling over all on his own island.
Best Custom Background3rd
= Pyramid Base by Dan Baxter
2nd = The Drunken Shredsy by Blizzard
1st = Pinnacle Island by Minicle! Base of operations
for the guy himself, it only holds Pinnacle Tower and, in one certain comic, the Biochicken. Also voted for this spriter was
Rail Canyon and Minicle's office.
Best Custom SpriteJoint 2nd =
Guardian Robot by DSC
Vermin
the Cybernik by DSC
Dr Zachary by Ben 2K9
Stu (either Advance by Blizzard or Stu-Nik by DSC)
1st = METALLIX by
Ben2K9!! This recent addition has been a firm favourite with STC readers and the sprites have been made by poses from Sonic
1, 2, 3, CD AND Chaotix. Genesis sprites.
Best In-Spritesheet JokeNo winners, but valid ones include:
"RAWR!
BIG EMPTY SPACE" by DSC.
Lakit turning Retro into Cream by Lakit.
"He looks angry." (concerning STC Super) by Ben 2K9.
E-106
Eta on the Omega sheet.
Best Original Concept3rd = Retrogamer
2nd = The Biochicken
1st
= SIN SCORPION!! He's a scorpion! And a ninja! See Sin's "Ask Sin" thread for details. Credit due to both Sin and DSC for
creating the sprite.
Best RecolourAll joint 1st =
Lakit's Super/Hyper Shadow
Lavender (from
Girl Power)
Arch ^^
Best SpriterThe one a lot may be wanting to win, it's surprising that there
are so many runner's up!
All joint 2nd =
Lakit, DSC, Chaos X3 and Minicle.
1st = BEN2K9! One of the
newest to the forum but one of the oldest contributors, Ben has produced some of the most memorable spritesheets yet (STC
Super, Zachary, Metallix). He has his name concreted in sprite fame goodness forever!
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Best
Interpretation of YOUR fan character2nd =
Minicle in Sonic Sprite COmic
Kintobor in Turbotails Sprite Comic
Sin
in Twisted World
1st = (2 of them)
TEAM DARK COMIC
This comic has been best for Blizzard as the head of security
for Blizzard and one of the only appearances of SSC2 in a sprite comic. Made up of almost all fan characters, it has produced
many great appearances so far.
PAINKILLER
This comic has largely featured Arch on his way to becoming a Mecha Hunter
along with E-106 Eta and Atieate (sp?). It's also seen Retro kicking ass (while remaining his clumsy self) along with Nazo
and the surly Sin.
Funniest Comic3rd =
Sonic Sprite Comic by Dan Baxter
Phonics and Nicholls
by Madhair
2nd = Painkiller by Sin Scorpion
1st = TEAM DARK COMIC by Retro. From it's opening issue with the
tour of the crazy Team Dark in the Death Egg to random moments (Lakit reducing Spartan to dust, Sin's quest for the Sonic
plushie), TD has produced many laugh out loud moments and Retro will continue to churn them out (with the imminent inclusion
of the Vending Machine).
Most Original Concept3rd =
Painkiller
Girl Power
2nd = Team
Dark
1st = TWISTED WORLD! Split into 3 seasons and a Christmas special, Minicle has given many new concepts into the
world of the sprite comic. The thought that this is all happening inside the mind of Minicle is enough to give anyone the
weebls!
Best Storyline3rd =
The Mobian
Sonic Sprite Comic
2nd = Painkiller
1st
= TWISTED WORLD! Again, the 3 or 4 seasons of this provided many classic moments. Since Sonic, Tails and the crew got sucked
into the portal after the early issues, it's been down to Team Chaotix to solve the mystery. Of course, if they're involved,
it's not gonna work out.
Best CameoNo winners, but voted were:
ShadowChao in Blizzard's Sprite
Comic
Minicle's Transformers parody in PK
Sonic plushie in Team Dark
Fabian Vane in Sonic Sprite Comic
Best
Comic2nd =
Team Dark Comic
Sonic Sprite Comic
Phonics and Nicholls
1st=
PAINKILLER! After
a dozen or so issues, Sin's PK has gained a heck of a lot of popularity and it's not surprising it's won. Taking a break at
the moment to gather new material, Sin has really made the most of this short time.
And THE MOBIAN! Woot to my comic,
I'm quite happy that I've joint won this to say the least.
The Mobian is my main comic involving many official and fan characters and many familiar scenarios. I'd just like to say
thanks to everyone while I'm here
.

From his single issue of his sprite comic to the mass of custom sprites; from his immense spritesheets
to his authority on the spriting kingdom, X3 has left a powerful mark on everyone. With 2 more votes than the others, X3 has
become Top Banana of All Thing Sprite!
