With the entirity of the E-Series attack force wiped out by Blizzard (not Arch), the pair finally confront HMS and Bolt.
Without a Chaos Emerald, HMS' bomb is totally useless and the evil pair concede defeat and decide to run before Arch can put
them away. Shortly after, Blizzard receives the message transmitted by Rob in #73, and his quest to find the Death Egg intensifies.
Robotnik arrives on the scene to deal with things himself, but the Hot Crater Zone is empty and the bomb trashed. He
curses wildly, but isn't left with his thoughts for too long, as he receives a message from back at base
